About the Book:

Who among us hasn't experienced the frustration of finding places to go with kids that are convenient, stroller-friendly and welcome new moms with crying babies?  Thanks to the Mothers’ Center’s own Sarah Ali, the search is over!  Sarah recently published, Baby Friendly Long Island, a comprehensive, must-read guide to indoor and outdoor activities for parents, grandparents and caregivers alike.

With and without her two boys, Sarah researched over 70 places, and her book provides readers with maps & directions, prices, parking, dining, hours of operation and access information.

One of the book's best features, however, is "The Scoop."  This is Sarah's personal review of the place, be it White Post Farms, Old Bethpage Restoration Village or Goat on a Boat Puppet Theater, and she provides the down and dirty facts about cleanliness, comfort, convenience, child-friendliness and noise-level.  There's even a section on the National Association of Mother's Centers.  Sarah's written the book in a comfortable, relaxed style, making it a quick and easy reference guide for any parent or care-giver on the go.

This book makes a great baby shower or new baby gift for friends and family.  It's published by SCOPE, a nonprofit organization that provides a host of educational services to Long Island residents that include teaching programs, publications and other education-related activities.
